So I just got a Droid RAZR HD (XT926) off Amazon. It came with

System Version: 9.18.94.XT926

Android Version: 4.1.2

Build #: 9.8.1Q-94

Build Date: September 25, 2013

It was used but I'm assuming that it never recieved OTA updates..

I rooted with no problems using towelroot. But I can't get the bootloader unlocked. As far as I can tell my PC is recognizing the phone, I'm running Win8 so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I'm trying to use motopocalypse but it just hangs on "Started daemon successfully" after waiting for device. Is there something I'm missing? Do I need to do the OTA updates to get to a newer version to unlock the bootloader?

Any help would be great 'cause I can't seem to find anything about this problem in reference to the RAZR HD.

I had to update to the first 183 kitkat to unlock boot loader on my xt926. Once unlocked you can go back to JB or stay with KK or proper custom ROMs for your base.

Also...... when it just hangs on waiting for device.... then you have either not installed the proper Motorola drivers and or USB debuigging is not enabled or you are not using the OEM USB cable that came with your phone.....

Windows 8 doesn't help either. Some have gotten it to work, others not so much. Make sure you have a 2.0 USB port. 3.0 USB ports don't work, at least reliably. I haven't heard of anyone getting USB 3.0 ports to work, but I have heard of people getting Windows 8 to work as long as it's with a USB 2.0 port.

Does anyone happen to have a picture of the OEM cable? I have so many motorola cables after having Droids for the past 4 years. -.- Updating to KitKat now.. I've got several 2.0 ports so hopefully they work. If not I'll try Win7.

Any of the OEM Motorola cables should work just fine :)

Strange because only one cable would actually work and have RSDLite recognize my phone but only on a Win7 machine. The image you provided didn't seem to work when I tried to flash so I used the stock one from VZW for 183.46.10 and then used the towelroot + motopocalype.apk and...

I'm unlocked! Installed CWM and am downloading CM11 now! Thanks so much for all the help, I really appreciate it.
