Here's the "simple" way to tell you... In that order....:) Its set "low" by default....... Setting it too high will cause it to fail and or damage the phone or headphones...... Increase by small integers until you find a level that suits you.... Go to the full post

I've found multiple sites that indicate to edit the media_paths.xml file in system/etc in order to boost the headphone volume of my XT926. Thing is I can't find that file. My phone is rooted and I'm on 183.46.14 from a tutorial/download followed on here about 2 months ago (I can't find the thread now).

Does anyone know how I can find or acquire the proper file so I can raise the headphone volume?

The easiest way for me..... Use SQLite database editor (from the play store) ....

The database you will need to edit is "settings storage" (com.android.providers.settings)

You probably knew this was coming, but which value am I looking to change? By the way it's a very impressive app... just a lot to scan through.

Thank you very much!

Especially for the screenshots. I got to that table, but then there are a ton of volume settings, so the pics got me the last step.

So I changed the volume_music_headphone setting, but didn't notice any audible difference. Would a specific app override the setting (DirecTV)? Do I have to reboot in between?
