well tried everything read first don't see how to go back on any other post

Droid Razr Maxx HD  XT-926

unlocked running 4.4.2

Battery is frying less then a day long actually feels very hot in my pocket

I'm unlocked but never ran any other rom's or anything like that

Question how can I flash back to 4.1.2

it was sweet and for my use it worked great this update is worse then horrible

lots of issues just hate it.

can I flash back?

thanks much guys and gals

Here is something john or node I'm having trouble with

USAGE:

o) Run the RSDFlasher.jar

o) Locate your SDL.exe file in your RSD Lite installation directory.  NOTE: This will only be necessary the first time you run.

I cannot find it anywhere I uninstalled RSD Flasher and tried to reinstall it but cannot it says it's already installed when I try and reinstall but it's not

but be hidden somewhere? looked in root for programs but don't see this folder anywhere to reopen the sdl.exe  file  the first time

You may need to completely remove it (via control panel) reboot.... Reinstall

That may be my problem it isn't listed in  the uninstaller to be able to uninstall it

or not in either one of those directories on the c: drive

pretty wild , there must be a trace of it somewhere so it will not install again

Great... Glad you got it.... BTW... The updater could be "updater 4.x.x" or the "new" name "MotorolaOTA".... Search for both in TiBu whichever one comes up.... Freeze it (or delete it)

John , just wanted to give you a follow up

battery on 4.4.2 was dead in about 8 hours before downgrade

yesterday 14 hours only used 13% on 4.1.2

and I can write to my external SD again and move apps to there

Great!!

also froze the updater

@snowman: I read your other post and then discovered that you had created a new thread to go back to 4.1.2.

My dad's phone is not able to see the home wifi (but can see other wifi's around), though other devices in the house can see that home wifi.

This happened exactly one month after the upgrade.

After playing will all settings, and not succeeding, I think the only options are:

1. Factory reset

2. Downgrade to 4.1.2

I don't think he has complained about poor battery after the upgrade.

Question: Did you use HoM or RSD flasher?

Question 2: Do you know if the phone will get soft-bricked if we do a factory reset? The bootloader was unlocked long back (and during recent upgrade to 4.4.2, the phone lost root. I don't remember, but I think we have TWRP installed on the phone.

It has been a while since I updated.

The short answer to the WiFi problem is - factory reset.

You don't need any tools - just go to the settings and do a factory reset. The WiFi starts working after that (the version of Android remains the same, but we have to restore all our apps and the data (images/ videos/music/ etc) from our backup.

Used RSd flasher. Should not hurt it at all to reset. Usually better should be done
