There could also have been an issue with the settings under Mobile networks settings. Perhaps you somehow had LTE turned off or had the preferred network type incorrect? Just a thought.

I'd go back and try again - it could actually have been something even more ridiculous - like a nearby tower taken offline for maintenance coincidentally while you were flashing.
Running stock would have proven one way or another if it was the ROM or the phone / signal / tower.
Nah I played with all the settings in mobile networks. Either way it's working now so thanks for the suggestions
