Because Motorola patched the exploit used on previous versions.

Hi I have a Moto HD LTE 925 (canadian cell carrier FIDO)

It's running 4.1.2 build: 9.8.2Q-8-XT925_VQL-12.2

Can this phone be rooted?  If yes, whats the easiest way of doing this.. really new at this kind of thing!  Also, if I can Root the phone and don;t like it, how would I reverse the process i.e. un root the phone.

Thanks for you help.

Easiest way since you have a 925 is to unlock the boot loader through Moto, flash a recovery, and flash a SU zip.

Is there somewhere that can show me how to do all of what you have suggested?

Thx

My updater is frozen. It's been awhile since I rooted and played around with this phone. Can you link me to the how to unlock, then upgrade to kitkat? Thanks.
