Everytime I try to download the gapps file it downloads an exe file instead of the zip file. What am I doing wrong?

Installed the 24 Jan 2015 nightly because the changelog had some significant entries. We are back in business, as it loaded right up and is running smooth again. They implemented their new logo for lollipop as well as their setup menu for first load. Tried out bluetooth and it's working. haven't had a chance to try GPS. messaging, app store, browsing on chrome, wifi connection, and cell connection all seem solid after a day of use. The  automatic play feature for rocket player when bluetooth connects isn't working for me yet but that's all I've run into and likely on rocket player end.

Did you test receiving a call on BT?
That has been locking up and rebooting some of our phones. (I'm using XT926 on VZW BTW.)

Just tested. First attempt to receive a call rebooted my phone. After reboot it worked great. So then I made some calls off BT using speaker and regular, then tried again and phone wouldn't receive a call even though the phone I was calling was ringing. Tried to open phone app and it froze. Rebooted and not messing with BT till fixed.

25 Jan nightly is out and changelog has lots of BT entries. Downloading and will test it out if I can get it installed before the wife heads out.

it won't be on the JBBL from what I hear. Why don't you just go to the KK BL?

just dl's 1/30 - no bluetooth at all............  very frustrated cause I need BT, and the ROM looks so cool!

 

EDIT: got it to finally connect w/ wireless off - but no headset functionality at all.

 

any ideas?

Let's try again - I've loaded every version up to and including 2/2......... BT still crashes the phone.  I've wiped, newest TWRP, ROM-then-gapps,........  all the "tricks".

 

Does anyone have BT working?

FYI: The 02/05 up on CM updater has the patch commit reported by kabaldan to fix the BT/Dialer lockup and reboots.
Installed and setting my phone up now. Will test in-car BT calling soon.

Edit: incoming call no longer locks up phone. BUT message pops up saying incallui has stopped. Call will stay connected until either ok or report button is pushed. Then call disconnects. No ui so you can't control the call either.

On the 02/12 nightly and found a bug, Not sure if its been discussed... thought I saw a post about it but not sure. Incoming and outgoing phone calls do not complete when wifi is on.  Goes straight to "call ended".

 

Everything else is awesome. Loving the ROM.

 

ETA: I dont get a toast saying call ended, its in the call screen...

On my dad's XT926, every 3 months or so, the WiFi stops connecting to the home router. It can connect to other AP's in the vicinity.

In November I did a factory reset and it fixed the issue. Now  I was informed that the issue has reappeared again.

The phone is bootloader unlocked (currently not rooted), and is stock (with 4.4.2 if I remember).

 

In order to get rid of this problem, I was thinking if I should try Lollipop over this weekend.

 

1. Does this version have WiFi problems like Kitkat?
2. Is this a stable daily use ROM? He does not need bluetooth audio, but might need to transfer files sometimes.
3. Is there an easy way to go back to stock ROM (4.1.2) if all of this does not solve his WiFi problem? I think it has TWRP installed.

I have been using this ROM for a few weeks and have had relatively few problems. Wifi and BT work fine, but I noticed if wifi is on and a call comes in it ends the call. I update the nightly every few days, and currently on 2/17... Im having an email issue (that I have NOT researched yet so I am not blaming the 2/17 nightly) that its not sending or receiving emails... usually I wake up to 3-7 junk mail notifications and this morning I had none, but logging into the web version of my email and I had 6 emails over night.

1. my wifi is fine.
2. I dont transfer files via BT but I do sync with my truck and get calls/text messages/emails, tho havent tried on this nightly... i will later today.

ETA: Deleted my email account and re-added it and now receiving email again, but also updated to 2/18 so....

I've tried resurrection. I can't say it any better than bliss. Bunch of extras built on top of cm 12 I believe.
