Have a XT926M that I had picked up off eBay a few months ago and am very happy with it, especially since the timing was near perfect to also go with PPC 4G.  Shopping around for more and I found one on Craigslist.  I've sent a message to the seller telling them I'm interested, but one thing I find odd is that they listed the phone as a "prepaid" device.  I've never seen anything indicating there is a prepaid version of this phone but I know I've read specific wording about prepaid phones on PPC.

So, is there such a thing as a physical prepaid version of the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD 32GB, or is it only a logical difference regarding how the phone was initially purchased?  Searching around hasn't given me any firm answer.  If it's only a logical (VZW purchase/ownership history) difference I'm not worried as I'm still going to check the IMEI against a couple sources before committing.

And of course I'm not going to bother buying it if it has already been updated to 18x.46.15 without the BL being unlocked first. :)

The short, easy answer..... The only difference between prepaid and post paid(contract) phone with Verizon .... Is the sim card .... :)

Excellent, thanks! This pretty much par for the course with 4G devices?

If the device qualified for the prepaid plan yes.... With Verizon, not all devices are allowed on prepaid tho..... Check with them beforehand :)

I'll caveat that with the fact that there IS a rebranded version of the XT907 for prepaid.  They're calling it LUGE.  They have not done so with the XT926.
