I was like, 'Oh yes I am!' and pulled up the about phone screen to find that I did indeed upgrade to .214. Forgot all about that...
Thanks for pointing out my basic, obvious error. Well, THERE's your problem!

Techno

I read somewhere that there is a handy-dandy utility that will get you to .211.....
just sayin...

So I have a slightly different problem than most - the update installs without errors but after reboot I'm still stuck on 4.0.4. Tried both links @ xda and here, used the utility option1/2/ota rootkeeper etc just like the instructions say, multiple data/cache wipes + re-flashing - still on 4.04. :(

Are you sure you're installing the JB update? Is it possible you've accidentally installed one of the previous leaks by mistake? The name would be the same, as the updates are named after the build you're updating from. Just a thought... :-) in fact, I was worried about doing this exact same thing and went through my memory card with a file manager to remove any previous versions to avoid a mix up.

How's everyone's battery life on this one? I'm seeing some saying great, others saying horrible. Kind of hard to judge battery when I keep messing with it. also, was a pleasant surprise that they update the desk dock clock to the current one I believe is used on the HD versions. I really HATED the one on ICS.

1d 8h 41m 54s, 32% remaining on my Razr maxx, average use.

corrupt zip file.

Yeap! the zip file was corrupted. I re-download the file and was able to install without any problem. Now on to testing.

Thank you Mattlgroff.

I am now running JB.

Thanks, OP!
Used Matt's tool. Didn't even have to redo the tether hack!
If you hit your menu key while in the main screen of handcent it has a "mark all read" option.

My post says Voodoo OTA Root keeper.... not Superuser temp unroot.

Surprised it didn't work?

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2

The Superuser app also has an "OTA Survival" checkbox now.. Should that be checked or unchecked? Anyone know what that does?

Thanks to all the great posts - I'm on JB now.

A couple things I had to do to make it work:
Delete cache for Bluetooth Sharing (was getting FC's)
Delete updates, cache, data for google play store (FC's)
Was getting one related to VZW VMM, but that seems to have gone away.

But...

I would like to get my Picassa albums to pull up in the gallery. Does anyone know how to do this and a confirmation that, if going back to an older version of gallery is the answer, will not ruin the camera?

So far that is the only thing that is wonky.

Thanks!

That is supposed to do the same thing as Voodoo's ota root keeper.... but for this you need to use voodoo...or it will not work...you should leave it unchecked...

Thank you Matt for the root fixer utility! great work! I'm making a donation. I updated to JB, did a factory reset, and I was not rooted anymore. This fixed it.

I can't for the life of me get the SU binary to update to 3.1.1, can I use superSU instead? Anyone tried it?

FWIW I was on a custom ROM and kept trying. Didn't work. Then I switched to "Stock Side"/"Safe Side" and had no problem.
