Any ideas what may be different in the official release when it comes. I know its been said that since the leaked version got pushed to some that something will have to be done for those which makes me wonder if this Xmas Eve version will be released with another to follow after that?

It makes sense but wonder what else they would change as it seems several say everything works and nothing is wrong but others say somethings dont work. Ive been holding off but its been tempting. Im actually on .215 and have been since it came out.

Its so quiet compared to other releases and leaks. I thought I seen somewhere cheesecake doesnt work for JB so is there nothing else that can find leaks?

Must have been a stumping question I asked. Still have not found the answer. Would think after 5 weeks of the leak something should be coming soon and what changes would there be? If they are releasing a newer version then what are they doing with the people on the leak that that went out to some? Ive seen someone talk about a .11 and a .12 but the .11 would be the probable release. Pretty hush compared to others leaks, did the insiders get in trouble. Even the old Cheesecake, I thought there was some new way to monitor things.

Im just waiting for the regular release. I could easily upgrade to the leak. My other posts are just what they say which basically are over 5 weeks after a leak of apparently no or little issues and there is nothing official or what may be a hold up or what changes the upgraded version that I have seen on one of the pages written about and what they will do about people who have the Xmas ota leak whatever it is. The old Cheescake app leak finder worked up until ICS which I thought there was some other program that looked like work to usewas established somewhere to monitor the servers but seems all is quiet.

you shouldn't expect anyone on this site to give you a 1-10 list of what will be changed, nor will Verizon or Moto do the same until the release is ready. Then they will state what changes there will be from ICS. They already released a statement saying the push at Xmas was a mistake. They aren't going to come out now and say "oh by the way for those of you that got that Xmas update here are the changes we'll have". Kind of ridiculous that you're expecting that from anyone.
They said the official update would be released Q1. So that's anytime between now and March 31. I'm sure someone will stumble upon details when the show up, but don't be expecting anything.

Im sure Verizon or Motorola could answer but figuring all the people who have answers to much harder questions, maybe I do expect too much but with this being my 3rd year of monitoring these boards these questions never seemed to be this complicated. I try not to post until it is a question as there is already too much clutter. So instead of trying to start a battle if you dont have answer than why bother.

I guess the answer is, Moto or Verizon, Flipped the switch early, Verizon also stated that if people didn't like the JB update and or had issues, that they would exchange it with a replacement. It really wasn't a leak, it was an OTA mistake meant to possibly be the release and or soak test, Currently I have been running it since day 1, It is stable and it does work, personally I haven't noticed any issues. As far as the change log, we were not provided with one aside from its an update from ICS to JB.

I don't think anyone here is starting a battle, we are trying to give you what we know and don't know. As far as Roms etc goes, Devs are working on JB roms, not even sure if ICS roms are even being updated currently. There is a solution to run both ICS and JB at the same time.

Hope this helps

I did have an answer, and gave it. sorry if your feelings got hurt. You asked what the changes will be, and I said nobody on this site knows, and you won't get one until someone gets the info. repeatedly asking won't get it any faster. I'm on the xmas release and have had to factory reset a few times to clear up weird, minor things. And its also the same ICS kernel and not the JB kernel, so obviously there is work yet to be done. We'll get it by March 31. I'm sure VZW will post details in March. They usually a do a week or so before OTA.

And things are different now then 3 years ago. 3 years ago there were things available to get leaks or details on leaks that don't happen now.

OK thank you. I see what your saying, was just trying to spark the right words to try to find the answers based on what I read on here most everyday. Ive been holding out just to be safe and with the unknowns I had mentioned about. Im fine with the wait, maybe a little anxious like anyone when something is new. May things I asked about have sorta been touched on in postings or even other sources thats where I was just trying to stretch it for more definition. For instance Cheesecake, I know this doesnt work anymore but I thought I read somewhere there was some new way to monitor things but it seemed like too much for me to do. As for the leak/Xmas OTA/whatever, I have seen where people were issued replacements and have seen where its been said they have to provide a way for those who received that update to be on the upgrade path. So in my way of viewing they would either have to have everyone upgrade to the Xmas OTA or provide some other way to upgrade them people but thats the queston since you have to be on .211 to upgrade to Jelly Bean.

Someone recently talked about on here about a .12 being worked on but .11 would probably be released but not sure where that info came from which would lead me to believe someone knows something unless it wasn't true. Just trying to put together what I have read into questions to make sense of knowledge in case someone else would ask.

Thank you for your help
