As many know, on 12-24-2012 4.1.2 JB rolled out OTA style to some though probably accidentally.
System Version 89.72.8
I, like many others, took the plunge without knowing much about it.
The only trouble I had installing it was getting SU to update binary on ICS after uzing DRU 2.81 to get back back to .211, I had been on .215
A quick SU app only data wipe got me back on track. Restored root on JB by following Matt's directions.
**BUT to get to the point of this thread, now that many of us are on it:
-What new features have you found?
-What changes do you like? Dislike?
-Are there known workarounds for any of our dislikes?

Getting these questions answered may help some decide if they want to take the plunge or not, and help out those of us who did.

I'll get us started:
Like: Transparent status bar on home screen
Smooth so far
Good signal so far
Dislikes: Flash not supported officially
Long pressing the search button now does the same thing as just pressing the search button. Google now. I used to long-press it as a shortcut to SoundHound, WidgetLocker, etc. *#*#INFO#*#* no longer works (Edit: it does if you are in the dialer from Phone but Not dialer from People which is what I was using)

Not as buggy as ICS that's for sure...although I haven't ran through its paces yet I noticed the screen rotation was laggy a bit. But I notice any bugs I'll post here

FYI:

I was able to update to this and then use Matt's utility to go back to .211 without a problem!

IT would be really nice if somebody would de-odex and repackage the OTA for SafeStrap.

Matt said this wasn't possible... how did you do this?

Just recently lost my HTC Rezound I've had since it's release.. came from a Droid 2 Global and before that LG Ally. All rooted and flashed different stuff I'm not new to this but kinda new to the Razr.

From the time i've had it and had the Rezound with ICS, this JB leak is soo much quicker between transitions, whether just scrolling the home screens or opening aps. Plus it all looks a lot cooler with the transition effects. It's all the speed and aspects of Jelly Bean I liked that I experienced when using the JB roms here, but i miss the customization. That will all of course come soon. Definitely worth the update

I'm thinking it's just like a rom you need to calibrate the battery by letting it die and recharge completely before you will get good battery life. I got 4 hours on screen with about 12 hours off the charger and I was at 20% on a maxx so it's definitely not the best I've gotten

I have noticed a great improvement with the new JB leak. I'm more excited to see what our awesome developers do with it though.

The transparent home screen status bar is something I've been waiting forever for. I also like the font and the new animations. I'll test battery life tomorrow.
If I helped you at all, don't be afraid to hit that like button! :D

Soft keys: framework-res.apk. A boolean value in bools.xml

Different icons: Deleted and moved different apks into /system/app or changed the icon via a custom launcher.

Its a little more difficult, but if you set the trigger as the location that your phone reads when connected to WiFi then you can set data off. Works well for me.

Likes: smooth and fast, was able to keep root

Dislikes: need me some OC and status bar hacks, and am already having crackflashing DT's! Also, battery? No verdict yet, and things seems to be ok so far. But Android OS is up to 44% in battery settings, and that has me worried.

Likes:
-New Dock Mode: combined Desk and Bedside, better interface
-AOSP Gallery: the old Motocast Gallery was just awful. I had switched to QuickPic but now I don't need it anymore
-All the Pro's of JB (butter, enhanced notifications, google now, etc)

Dislikes:
-Clock/Alarm is now straight AOSP. We lost "use increasing volume" alarm option and there's no timer integrated into the clock.
-No more Sticky Notes widget (and some other Blur widgets too)

It looks like this release is even more straight AOSP...less customizations to a lot of things, like status bar icons and AOSP apps. That's good for the most part, though some of Blur was actually nice (like the alarm mentioned above). We'll have to see if this is only because this is an accidently released build and if the final build will be more Blurry.

I'll echo all of your likes and dislikes, and add one dislike of my own so far:
  • Now there's a search button at the bottom of the Corporate Mail client, and I have not found an option to remove it.

Pros-
Battery life's better than stock ics
Buttery smooth
Blue tooth buttons when calling are integrated and working better.
New status bar has better preview of mail and texts.
Google now

Cons-
Random lose of data but I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that it's the holidays and the network is overrun.
Massive battery drain do to over use and excitement of a jb leak that has caused me to not put my phone down since Christmas eve.
Spent less time with family.

those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Nah, it's the OTA. Soft keys are easy, they're already in the framework-res.apk. You can enable them through the build.prop, and in Jellybean Moto has finally left them alone from stock aosp, aside from the shaded transparent background like in the notification bar.

Icons are stock, that's just the icon for no SIM since my S3 is my main phone . You can change them fairly easily if you want to, but I only ever bother molding to get a stock aosp look, and this already has it. Besides, it can be hit or miss without deodexing first, and I tend to prefer odexed roms. Unless you're referring to the dock, which is just Nova Launcher with a stock JB theme.

All I really did was debloat, do a few basic tweaks like ad blocking, busybox, opendns, etc, change the boot ani, and some performance and usability tweaks through the build.prop and some SQL edits. Oh, and I added notification toggles. Just some basic tweaks and I'm honestly a lot happier than I've been with many roms. Couldn't really ask for much more.
