Having Problems With Your DROID Razr or RAZR Maxx After Jelly Bean Upgrade? Verizon May Replace It for Free

If you own a DROID Razr or DROID RAZR Maxx and are having issues with your device after upgrading to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.2), you may want to pay attention to this.
Verizon may replace your device (for the same model) if you're having issues with the device after upgrading to Jelly Bean. Some have even been given early upgrades. Some of the known issues are, but not limited to connectivity issues, device features (Mobile Hotspot for example), or random Verizon apps force closing.
It's great that Verizon has realized what happened and are acknowledging the issue in a way to keep their customers happy (at least it is for me). So if you are having issues, maybe you should consider taking a drive to a Verizon Corporate store. As far as I know, it's only the corporate stores doing this.
Have you had issues with your device since upgrading to Jelly Bean?

I need root as well. Just curious as to WHAT we would need to say is the issue ??? (Certainly cannot tell them that we cannot root the device after the update. D: :-( )

fastboot .211 and than apply update in recovery. There you go, no Superuser app.
Or:
And apply the update in recovery.
Thank matt for the tool.

I keep getting "moto fastboot is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
then it continues through the exploit like it did something, but nothing...

Is there a poll for the success rate of the upgrade? I'm thinking of starting one if there isn't one already.

Not as far as I am aware of. That's not a bad idea - be sure to make sure there isn't one before starting one though.

Yep. I browsed around looking for a poll such as the one I mentioned but haven't seen one. Just wanted to be sure and ask just in case. Going to start one in the Razr section. Thanks for the input.

I'am having bad data issues, and my keyboard force closes. Had to download JB keyboard from market. I'd love an early upgrade!
Not many people have been able to score that far, but it is always possible! If the data issues get too bad to handle I recommend taking advantage of this.
