So, how do you make things transparent without using opacity? That's what happens when you set 90% of the page elements with the opacity property -__-. That, and the wall paper takes up a huge hump in the memory believe it or not. Everytime the page scrolls, all browsers (from what I can tell) rerender the page if you have a fixed background image.
My suggestion to whomever is designing the template is to cut back on over using the opacity property. It might help.

I am the one who made the theme, and it is my first. I have zero background in this so bare with me I'm learning.
However, aside from the one or two in this thread, I have not heard any complaints about speed or lack of.

Blame it on Matt. LOL, well, really though, I use Chrome on my PC and the only time I notice any lag is when scrolling through a page and coming upon one of Matt's posts on the page. It's not just once in a while, it's every post of his. The post comes into view and the scrolling speed slows quite a bit. Continue scrolling until the post is off the screen and it speeds up instantly. It's his signature I'm sure that causes it for me. Every time without fail. No biggie, just wondering if anybody else has noticed it. Sorry Matt. Couldn't resist saying it.
