Don't take that the wrong way. I know what root is as I have rooted a few different phones for myself, wife, and a couple friends. I am not a complete noon with this, my confidence in doing it this time around has not been all there due to other things going on in my life. I meant no bad things byvsaying it that way and apologize.

didn't renamed logwrapper as the instructions say to delete logwrapper, then next line says to rename it.
1. Reroot (If not currently rooted)
2. Get root explorer in the market
3. Uninstall the bootstrap app
4. Go into root explorer to system/bin
5. In top right corner tap r/w
6. Delete the file called hijack
7. Delete logwrapper
8. Rename logwrapper.bin to just logwrapper
9. Reboot and it should be gone.

Yea I was able to get the update. I am not sure if its because I applied for the soak test and got the invite or not. But I have had no issues at all after following these steps. Since I am in on the soak test and have access to the private forums, I can take a look to see if there are any steps you could try. I know they have a thread for this issue.

I have used this successfully before, but today nothing is happening after I hit reboot recovery. I hit bootstrap recovery, then after it says success I select reboot, then nothing happens. I uninstalled the apk then reinstalled. Still nothing. Any ideas?

Is this the correct Bootstrap to install for ROM's and Themes? Currently using Safestrap but no themes are for SS. So I want to go to Bootstrap with my rooted stock 748 and flash themes.

Thanks. But I thought for ROMs you should use Safestrap and for Themes you should use Bootstrap???Yes, this is the original Bootstrap Recovery for the Droid RAZR. Make sure you uninstall Safestrap via the app, then install Bootstrap and bootstrap recovery.
Most new ROM's and themes are designed to work with Safestrap though.
