My droid razr xt912 of 10 months wont turn on. The battery seemed to be draining really fast last night, considering I wasn't really using my phone and turned wifi and mobile data off. It went from 15% to dead in maybe 15-20 minutes, when all I was doing was checking the battery on it. I used my friends car charger an hour later. I did power back on my phone which stayed on for a few minutes and then died again when I unplugged it from the car charger. I am wondering if this caused it to drain the battery too much?

When I got home I put it in the charger and it usually gets to 5 percent in a few minutes, but the battery sign never came on.

I left it the wall charger all night. The white light will come on when I plug the charger in half way to the phone port, but when I plug it all the way in it turns off. If I put it in half way and pull it out the white light still stays on, even when it is not connected to a charger, so I am not sure if the white light is supposed to stay on or not when it is charging. Is it normal for the white light to come on for a second and then turn off in a wall charger? When I plug it in my laptop the white light stays on.

I have tried holding power on and volume up key, power and volume down, and power and holding both keys after reading different suggestions. None of them have done anything. How long should I be holding them down?
Any suggestions? Should I go ahead and take it to verizon?

White light generally means dead battery. You may be able to recover it, but most get a new battery to fix

Thats kind of true....it can be replaced, just not easily. Info can be found on the internet.

You can try and get a Factory Cable/Adapter from Team BlackHat.

There are a few threads in our forum with several methods that sometimes work, when they dont it requires a new battery.

If its less than a year old, you may still be covered under the Verizon warranty. Seems like a hardware failure, so it'd be worth a call to Verizon before you crack the phone open and void the warranty. With a little luck, they may replace the phone for free.

I would try a stock charger Motorola brand in case your friends was an off brand. And the battery can be replace, itsjust a mild inconvienence. I'll be replacing mine soon when JB comes out. So I can have the best life again.
