Galaxy A5

Samsung recently has been experimenting with a new material on their smartphones: Metal. With the most recent releases of the metal-made Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Note 4, Samsung has announced their additions to the new Galaxy A series; the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3.

The Galaxy A series is described by Samsung as "stylishly crafted", as the phones feature a slim, full metal body (No plastic), and both have Super AMOLED displays. The devices are Samsung's slimmest smartphones to date, and offer "refined, trendy design and the most advanced functions to support social networking." Both devices are geared towards a younger audience and feature "the best possible social networking experience," and sport innovative selfie features, such as Wide Selfie, Palm Selfie, Animated GIF, Beauty Face Features, and a Rear-camera Selfie.

Here are the specs for each device.

Galaxy A5:

  • 5.0 inch HD Super AMOLED display
  • 13 megapixel back camera, 5 megapixel front camera
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 1.2GHz quad-core processor
  • 16GB internal storage with added SD Card slot
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • 2300mAh battery
  • 4GLTE capabilities
  • 6.7mm

Galaxy A3:
  • 4.5 inch qHD Super AMOLED display (960x540)
  • 8 megapixel back camera, 5 megapixel front camera
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 1.2GHz quad-core processor
  • 16GB internal storage with added SD Card slot
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • 1900mAh battery
  • 4GLTE capabilities

Anybody plan on buying one for themselves or a son or daughter?
