well i was helping my dad and then cooked supper. lol we tried that is what i love about this community. i learn alot from reading and reading and then reading again. i have a low post count cause i don't comment much

well not really a fail. it was always going to fail, what you did was really a success, because now we know. as opposed to not knowing. Im assuming based on everything that's been written, the trustzone issue means the update was installed, sounds like that's the issue you've seen with other people

so if I got a new maxx hd and made sure it had 9.16.6 and didn't take the update, I could root and unlock, but would never be able to update

That is correct. If unlocking and rooting are important for you, you will want to consider buying developer or Nexus devices as the exploits and the people to find the holes are slim to none and getting worse.

BTW, earlier today there was a dev edition HD on swappa for $255.  It said good condition, but everything made it sound better than that.

That's partially correct.  Once unlocked, you can take the update just fine.

hello all:

i got my razr maxx hd to root but not unlock bootloader and it's running 9.18.79.

now i'm puzzeled i get the same error Trust Zone write failed: -11.

so im assuming i was lucky on the root and how shall we say SOL on unlocking the bootloader?

im having the same problem with mine as

i tried running as administrator and that first error went away and it gave me the options list but when i select 1 now it says fast boot is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file i dont know what els to try
