I've had the Maxx for a few days, and everything was perfect, but yesterday google+ suggested I backup all my photos, which I said yes, and now the battery seems to drain very quickly (10% is 2 hrs), and when i looked at batery stats, 46% was google+, so i disabled it for the time being.

Has anyone else experienced this?

It's going to take more battery then usual until all the photos are backed up. This would be normal for any phone not just a maxx. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 4

NP,I would suggest doing it over night while it charges so you don't have to worry about anything

There is a setting to only backup on WIFI and only when charging.  Not sure if you disabled the app or just the backup part but just wanted to throw that out there.

I actually just disabled it for now, battery is back to normal... it's funny because I did finish the backup last night on Wi-Fi and charging, and after unplugging this morning it quickly drained to about 80 percent, that's when I checked the battery stats and realized plus was the culprit

O that would be weird then. Have you tried rebooting the phone? Either way as the other person suggested you can set it to only backup when your charging.

You can also go into the Google sync settings under the settings menu and disable photo sync.  I've disabled syncing for just about everything.

Yeah. Set it for WiFi and charging only. Or just turn off photo backup. It also does video. Who needs that? Well some. But I don't disable app because I like sharing to family via G+ Hasn't been a problem. Will stay tuned to see how things work for you--or if there is an issue with new app version on some devices. Good luck!

Did that to me too. I just uploaded all the photos, noticed the battery drain. Cleared data on G+ then rebooted phone. Opened G+ back up then all was good to go
