Install custom rom in Razr HD XT926

Best Answer Neo_mat , 23 June 2014 - 10:58 AM

Some of the ROMs that you are trying to flash may say that they are 4.4.x (4.4.4 even) but that doesn't mean they are going to work with your phone, yet. I know only two ROMs that work for sure with XT926 KK bootloader, both of them are being maintained by Dhacker29:

- Gummy ROM (Official builds support XT926 KK bootloader for about a week now ( https://twitter.com/...182106036117504 ))

- CyanogenMod(unofficial nightly builds from Dhacker29 are available at androidhosting - http://www.androidho...cker29/msm8960/)

Basicaly Dhacker29 is our God and you should worship him < 3

Hm, interesting! Maybe I wasn't patient enough, but I think if Moto Boot Logo stays for more than 4 minutes something is wrong... did you wait on Moto Logo after flashing for a long time? I had a Moto Logo to come up, then phone rebooted itself and stuck on boot logo for 4 minutes+.

So I'm back up and running gummy. So far its pretty good, haven't run into any problems yet, Apollo started up, still getting the pop noise as in stock and Wi-Fi is just a little weaker than on stock, might keep this one running instead of stock, flashed with twrp without a problem

Yes music plays fine for me atm using PowerAmp to play flac files. No popping. I generally run my audio through a USB DAC since I often listen to higher quality files, but havent tried that player yet.

OK I didn't use power amp, but I'd like to use Apollo but because of WiFi I really need to wait till WiFi is improved as where I sleep is right at that range where it makes a difference.

Audio issues are general for new KK roms for XT926, the nightly build of CM from Dhacker29 (24th june) has corrected audio playback issues with Apollo and other players, because before this update only player that I found to be working on CM was PowerAmp, rest were just crashing when playback was initiated. So I guess pretty soon audio playback issue will be patched in Gummy as well since there is a working patch on CM.

I managed to install a custom rom, but the problem I was having with the camera I thought it would be resolved, and it was not. Can anyone help me with this?

Not in stock rom or version 4.4.4 could not fix this. If anyone can upload a backup if camera that is working so I can try I'd be grateful.

Is there a custom ROM that fixes the issue with wifi dropping connection when bluetooth is enabled?  I've had this problem since flashing stock 4.4.2.  I've tried CM11 nightlies through 7/4 and none of those correct the problem?

There is a new soak build that fixes that issue that went out last night.

Sam,

Is the soak available for download or do I have to be part of Motorola's feedback network to get it?

I've asked for people to send it to me if they can pull it, but, generally no it's only available to those in the soak test unless someone pulls it.  Once I get my hands on it I'll set up a new thread.
