NP. I would honestly just uninstall the app, and then flash the theme, since the theme has the blacked out gmail in it.. so once u flash it, it should be all good to go~

OK, let me make sure I got this right...uninstall the Gmail app, boot into safe strap & reflash the theme over the existing themed rom? And wipe cache & dalvik too of course

OK, so I uninstalled the updates to gmail and then it was blacked out...do I just keep using the "outdated" gmail or just remove the gmail apk and reflash the whole theme? My concern is I want to make sure I have the most up to date gmail but I like the darkened version.

I see you are new, let me offer a small piece of advice. Before you ask a question where others have to search for information for you, try doing your own search, and then asking if you still cannot find the info. You should be able to hit ctrl+F in your browser window and it will bring up a search bar, type in "icon" and hit enter and it will search the entire page you are on for that word. Considering this thread is only 3 pages long this entire process would take maybe 2 minutes max if you are on a very slow connection.

With that said, here is the answer you are looking for, and it was on page 2 of this thread.

I had this question too. Except I'm looking for the icons in the OP. DL'd the ultimate icon pack mentioned above but I don't see the icons that are shown in the OP screenshots. Any help would be appreciated, TIA

Any icon that is made by him can be found in the market, just search BigDX or go to his blog. I posted a link a few posts back.

OK I think this is the icon pack I'm looking for. Thanks for the help but I have another n00b question. I know these are for alternate launchers like nova & apex. Is there any way that I can use this icon pack/theme with the stock moto launcher? Sorry for all the lame questions

I want to tell you no but yeah there are apps out there , bettercut , anycut , whatever it is. I have a question for you? Why use the stock launcher? If your answer is the stupid circle widgets , there are 50 apps on play similar and/or better. Plus less memory consumption, more options, customization out the wazo, its better, all the cool kids do it, is that enough? ;) I personally use apex only but others prefer nova, or you csm go flashy with GoLauncher EX , crazy home, rocket launcher ,etc etc I've tried them all. Spread your wings my friend , its OK to go outside the norm lol.

Thanks, searched both bettercut & anycut but couldn't tell if either those would work.

That's a fair question, I used nova quite a bit for awhile & really liked the customization allowed. Enough even I paid for the prime version. The circles widget is really nice to have, I like flipping action it does as well as displaying notifications in the clock circle. I also really like the quick settings page when I swipe to the left. It's very handy to me & I find myself using it a lot. Those are my reasons for wanting to stay with the stock launcher. But I'm sure I'll get tired of it sooner or later, then I'll be ready to try nova again. :-)

OK so the next question I have is will this Jelly Bean Extreme theme work on the rooted stock ROM I'm running? Or will I have to flash the Batakang ROM or Fuzion or something to get it to work? Which I'm honestly tempted to try because it seems as if ever since I did the root method and flashed the theme my phone has been acting more buggy with more lag that I remembered

The only thing root does is installs SU and busybox and a few tiny files to your system. So no lag issue would come from just rooting. My guess is if you restored with tibu or similar, the data is causing the lag.

And no just root is required and SS. Or you van download the zip , unzip and push them using adb or use root explorer unzip the file, long press in /sdcard/vault service/extracted, choose all apk's , copy to /system/apps , before you paste either delete or rename the apk files your changing to apk.bak, DO NOT TOUCH THE ODEX FILES, paste then make sure the permissions are rw-r-r on the new files . Then take the framework file that extracted and in the same manner replace /system/framework/framework-rez.apk with the new one. Dome :) easy peasy! I do it like that, well threw adb , so I van change back if I want. Its up to you bud.

Wow, thanks for the detailed help! That method sounds a little too complicated for me tho :/

From what I understand tho I can download the file & flash it through safe strap? Or is that wrong? That sounds way easier.

Also, I did not restore with tibu or anything similar, but its been a little better the last couple days.

Another thing I've been noticing is when downloading apps from play store I'll get end error message that reads "insufficient memory" and then the app won't download. I know I have plenty of space with the 32gb internal plus I have a 32gb external card too. Anyone ran into this problem?

Sorry for all the questions...:-)

No problem.

Are you running slot #1 or just plain stock no SafeStrap? Cause usually that message us when you say up a rom slot and gave it set up for say 1 GB and you got a crap load of stuff on that partition. If not you got some problems lol

I restored my stock rom on Rom Slot 1, and I think I partitioned 2gb but maybe I only did 1gb...is there anyway to check that? Or change that?

Yes, sir. It's JB 4.1.1 so I was going to give it a shot. Are you recommending to only use your theme on complete stock?
