I'm on 4.1.2 on my Maxx HD. The stock texting for Motorola can do that?My stock messaging app seems to have a 'group conversations' option when I get a group text.

awesome! Thank you! Now I have another issue. Notifications for stock texting isn't appearing and I made sure notifications was checked. Any idea?Go to messaging app, tap the + symbol, type in as manny recipients as you wish, will show group at first below tap to change to individual and tap again to go back to group

are you sure you setup group messages correctly in the message settings. I am currently using the stock message app with other iphone friends and works fine. make sure default group message type is group conversation. Its under the message settingsSo I tried group texting. I appreciate the help but this way of group texting wasn't what I was hoping for. I would like to be able to group text and not receive individual texts after starting the group text :/ was hoping it was gonna be like the group texting on iphones and the vzw messages app we have for android. That app works well with group text but its just ugly and too white. Oh well beggars can't be choosers I suppose. Thank you guys.

I did make default to group conversation. I texted two of my friends who have iPhones and when they responded I got separate text messages. It wasn't on the same text thread. :/are you sure you setup group messages correctly in the message settings. But when using WhatsApp, people have to have it to talk to each other, correct? Not sure if it's been mentioned, but WhatsApp Messenger is generating a lot of buzz as a SMS replacement. It currently supports up to 50 recipients on a thread. It's free at Play Store.
