Hello everyone,

I have a stable (but not perfect) CWM Recovery for Huawei U8730 (T-Mobile MyTouch Q by Huawei), no random reboot at all and combo key to boot into recovery.

It might work on Huawei U8680 (Huawei MyTouch).

download link : http://www.mediafire...2p/recovery.img

to install it, boot your device into download mode (pink screen) by pressing "volume up and down + power"

put the recovery.img downloaded before in your image folder to replace your original recovery.img

pull out the battery and replace it

boot your device by pressing "volume up + power" and you must be in recovery mode.

navigate : volume keys

validate : photo key

return : power key

Thanks to mattlgroff for his base and Tomm13b for his help to debug the recovery.

Now it's time to unbrick some device and start to build custom rom ;-)

PS : backup option only save system

new version available but still have system mounted and can't be unmounted, wipe work

If someone can take a look,go go

Well, CWM worked perfect for me on my U6860. Fiddled around in there for an hour, no reboots, no brick. Nandroid backup only sys was only thing different. No roms to attempt to flash though

P.S.

I didnt go through fastboot- Loaded onto sd card and manually moved into images folder with root explorer. Pulled the battery and booted straight into recovery.

HELP! I did this on Huawei U8680 (Huawei MyTouch).

I am stuck in download mode with a pink screen because this model doesn't let you take out the battery (its all sealed up). Is my only option to let it run out of battery?

EDIT: Never mind, I removed the battery.

Anybody still working on this?  This CWM is great for supporting flashing ROM's (esp the ICS) but the backup feature doesn't work.  It never says "backup complete" and then if you try to restore a created backup, it always has an MD5 mismatch error . . . um . . . because it doesn't create an MD5 table.  Anyway:   Any ideas on how to create a Nandroid Backup on this phone?
