I accidentally put this in the XT925 section, my phone is a XT926

Hey guys, I never tried rooting my

until yesterday and when i first used the software it seemed like it worked as it put the Superuser app on

but wouldnt let it load so i downloaded rootchecker which informed me it wasnt rooted. So after some looking around i followed a link from some forum that said it was the proper rooting link that would work. I ran it on my phone and my screen went black and went to the fastboot screen in

failure (which i didn't know what it was at the time) so i panicked and pulled the usb out and was trying everything to get out of it. I eventually figured out the power button/volume up combo would allow me to do a normal boot on my phone and i got it running so i thought it was fixed...but i turned my phone off last night and when i went to turn it back on it loaded to the fastboot flash failure screen. So now every time i want to turn my phone on i need to do the power button volume button combo to do a normal boot. I tried doing a factory data reset through the hard reset button combo but all that did was wipe all my data and im still having the same issue.

So basically im in desperate need of help to get my phone to boot normally. I dont care about rooting it anymore i just want it to work the way it did before i tried to do any of this. I know it was stupid to try to do it without fully understanding the procedure but now im just looking to get it back to a functioning stock

Will flashing any of these updates fix it?

Please help.

So first off you shouldve come to this place because you will get the right answers....live and learn, but now youre here :)

It sounds to me like your problem is a Flash Failure. If thats correct that very easy to fix. You get a boot logo file and flash it while the phone is in fastboot mode. You can find the instructions around in the threads here.

The sbf link you have posted are the correct files for the 926. Its the last various updates.

IF you need a utility, get SamuriHL's House of Moto

and follow the directions to a tee with the correct files for your phone.

We are here to assist, guide, and help but you need to read, read, read and did I say read again,

ok so your on the latest update. Like I said in the first post if you have just a flash failure you can flash the logo file.

the file you need from the sbf site would be the 9.30 file. you can get that extract it on your pc, pull out the logo.bin file and flash it with the phone in fastboot

command: fastboot flash logo logo.bin

So basically, once i pull the logo.bin file to my desktop would these be proper steps to follow:

Boot my phone in fastboot

plug it into my computer

open up RSD Lite
make sure it detects my phone in fastboot mode

flash the logo.bin file to the phone using RSD Lite?

would this work?

there probably is a way to flash it via RSD but I do it via fastboot. Usually the utilities you get from here have it. so open a command prompt window in that folder and make sure you use the path to the logo.bin file or move it into the folder with fastboot.

ok i have the phone is fastboot mode and recognized by rsd lite, but when i search for the logo.bin file from rsd lite to open it and start flashing it says file type is not supported...should i use the entire VRZ file and not just the logo.bin file?

because i am able to open the entire VRZ file into RSD lite

yea and if you type dir what directory/folder are you in? you need to be where the fastboot file is.

You can ctrl-right-shift and click the folder where fastboot is and that should put you in the correct place....

Sorry I cant be more helpful, I'm on a Mac :)

AHA ok, i found fastboot program in the platform tools folder of my adt file bundle.

C:\Users\Sluice\Desktop\adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20131030\sdk\platform-tools

So what you're saying is to open command prompt in the platform tools folder (which has fastboot in it) (i added logo.bin to this platform tools folder)  and then this is the part that confused me, do i type flash logo.bin in the cmd? ive never flashed anything before so im nervous
