Since the phone is still a Verizon phone, even though its sim unlocked, is probably going to bug you about not having a Verizon sim. You can't really get rid of it, but it only comes up at boot right?

remove /system/app/VZWPhoneService.apk and /system/app/VZWPhoneService.odex. then reboot. This should stop this.

I removed these files and no longer get the message but is there a way to get the phone to recognize my SIM (AT&T)?

Does anyone know how to edit the radios using radiom com after installing cm11. Before u had to put the phone in factory mode enable usb debug and connect the do your edit.

I was using tmobile on a xt926. Now the phone is not connecting even though I can see it in the apn. all settings correct.  When I put the phone into factory mode now all i get is the spinning cmlogo no boot. If I try regular mode usb debugging enabled radio comm doesn't see it. Is there a page somewhere on this site you can point me to. I am still searching. Thanks z skynyrd.

what you really want to remove is /system/app/VzwController.apk

removing VzwPhoneService.apk will not allow you to connect to any network with any sim card. thus not showing the message.. haha
