Btw for fastboot on linux rename the "fastboot-linux" to "fastboot" and get rid of the one there. Its the Mac OS X 64 bit version default by request of coryjohn87.

Feel free to donate to my Razr Dev fund if you wanna help out

Might want to denote the fastboot-linux as x64. Either that or get an x86 compiled version so it'll work on both systems.

koush has a x86 version for download in his files...

It does have a few less features than the version in this package, but that may not be an issue.

Great stuff man! I'll be at school until late today, but I'll try it out tonight if no one else gets a chance first.

New version released! Tested fastboot and seemed to work perfect on Mac, and the man who helped me edit it was on a Linux machine so it should be all good!

Did you replace the OSX64 fastboot to the 32 bit OSX fastboot mentioned in the OP? That might be your issue.
Delete "fastboot" and rename fastboot-osx32 into "fastboot".

Thank you for getting back so quickly!

I did replace the fastboot file with the 32 bit version. I also ran the shell file with the original 64 bit version and received the same error message. Also verified MD5 checksum. The AP Fastboot screen reads "Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0" but below it, "OK to Program, Transfer Mode: USB connected."

If you like I can take a look over Team Viewer. Send me a PM ;)

Might I suggest making an 'Unroot' function as well... I wrote one for Linux, but have yet to test it until my Razr comes today... sure one could just fastboot to erase root, but that should be a last resort to unroot. An unroot method should remove su, superuser.apk, busybox and all busybox symlinks.

Also, will you be reworking the scripts to utilize the Droid 4 root for 2.3.6?

Download, unzip, run the XT912RAZRUtilityMacLinux.sh file via terminal. Don't get much easier.

^^^ Thank you so much! I hope it works as well as it's reported to. I can't OTA from VZW for some odd reason, and I guess FastBooting is my only option

Edit: OK, so i just put the file on my desktop after unzipping it and run it? like the command would be run (insert file here) ?

I'm a command line nut, even though I have a gui... so here's how I do it...

Download Full package
$ cd ~/Downloads
$ unzip XT912RAZRUtilityMacLinux.zip
$ chmod +x XT912RAZRUtilityMacLinux.sh
$ ./XT912RAZRUtilityMacLinux.sh
