At this point, just about nothing. It is primarily intended for devices with unlocked bootloaders.

Razr is now listed on rom manager.
Have the option to tell it what recovery version you're on and can now backup.
Didn't work for me on axiom aokp ab10.

Anyone on 173 get it to backup?

Yeah there really is no use for it at all, especially when we already have tools that are better.

:-D :-D

What tool is better and as reliable as ROM manager was?

You can use bootstrap if you don't mind having to rsd if something goes wrong or you can use safe strap which allows you to protect your stock rom and flash safely. I recommend the latter.

update: actually just installed miui from ab11 using it, backed up ab11 too. so i'd say this does have some use to save from doing the recovery shuffle, plus backup/flash in one swoop.
EDIT: Works with other flashables, flashed the OC zip. its a lot quicker than using recovery to do it.

also off topic but miui seems pretty sick from the 2 minutes ive been on it

Yep still true, but you can back up from rom manager itself now as well. It has an entry for the RAZR even though there's still no complete support.

ive flashed using RM with bootstrap and safestrap. backed up correctly, restored, just gotta select 3.x+ version. when i selected 2.x it wouldnt backup. cant vouche for backing up roms alone though, i've been doing it when/with installing a new rom. seems to work more than only trying to back it up and not install a rom, if that makes sense.

EDIT; had to make sure i'm not lying
started on axiom ab15, installed dianxin and created backup, then restored ab15 successfully. to find the backup i had to go to the settings and check the ext sd option before it showed up.

**wait nevermind i restored gummy. i cant find the ab15 backup, well it worked for 1 backup anyway. ill try again tomorrow >.<

Turns out ROM Manager actually does serve a purpose. Thanks to it and a few smart people thinking outside the box we now have ICS with its kernel and web top 3.0. Way to go ROM Manager!
