Filed an FCC complaint about poor battery life on the RAZR a month ago, they called today and offered the maxx, no change in contract, plus $300 credit, helped I've been with Verizon since 2003, no cost to me. My question is I'm on ics from the that app which we don't speak of way, have to return device in five days of getting the max, which will be tomorrow. I want to go back to stock, any ideas?

Thanks, will Matt's utility work as well? All i did was go to fcc's site, filled online form about why i thought Verizon gave me a phone with small battery, then released same phone with huge battery a few months after, poor battery life, waited a month and Verizon called and gave me no trouble, happy to send me new RAZR maxx. Didn't think it would work but very surprised it did.

I wish I could do this. They really pissed me off, when I finally upgraded to a new phone to find out just after my 30 days was up they released a bigger battery version.

Can anybody do this? Just file a complaint and whine about problems and you get a maxx and $300?

I think he filed a complaint because Motorola releases a phone every 6 days that is the exact same phone as before but with one added feature that is enough to make you want the new phone....

It took awhile before they called, all i asked for was the max for trade, nothing more. He seemed very willing to work it out, he thought what i was asking was valid and that Verizon told Motorola to fix the battery issue, believe that's why the maxx came to be. Good luck! Should have my max by noon tomorrow!

I was thinking about calling VZW and telling them how bad the battery life is on the RAZR to see what would happen... Maybe I'll give it a shot. All i really want is something with a removable battery at this point... Tired of my phone always being plugged in.

I didn't file expecting to get anything, just unhappy they came out with the same phone with the biggest problem fixed real close to each other. I told Verizon the same and he mentioned sending a maxx to me asap. It might have helped I've been with then a decade paying close to $200 a month, he brought that up several times, it was a pleasant conversation compared to dealing with customer support, which can be a nightmare. Have to give them credit for stepping up to the plate, although it took the FCC to get them motivated, lol

Interesting... I called Verizon right when I learned about the maxx which did come out during me return period. If I had known I would waited a couple of days nd got the maxx. I called later within 30 days but not the 14 and they told me tough titties -_-... I hate always having to have my charger in my pocket

I would like to note, for the record, I had a razr...but rather than getting upset about the Maxx, I sold the razr, sold my gnex, and bought a Maxx. I also traded my Galaxy Tab for a Maxx. I mean, the RAZR battery life really isn't all that bad, but the Maxx is much better... the thing is, getting mad about the Maxx is like getting mad about the extended battery release for other phones. After all, the Maxx is basically a RAZR with extended battery, lol

The issue with the Maxx unlike an extended battery is that it isn't an upgrade suited for novices and costs 100+ to update rather than $30-60.

That said, I don't regret not having a Maxx.

Wish i could do that, lol.

As a testimony for needing a maxx i am typing this from og razr with portable battery connected charging so i can keep going, lol. Its recommended you dont drain battery to near death or below 30% (i think, lol). After being off the charger since 5am and after 10 hours not to many options. Also very few options at work to charge it there.

Oh well, Iike others i dont regret getting razr but the extra battery life would be nice. :D
