So I tried using the Droid Razr batman tool thing I found here, but it didn't work. Apparently it's only for EU model phones, and mine's Asian (I'm American).

Anyhow, my phone won't go past AP Fastboot (correct terminology?) due to the wonky failed attempt at flashing. So I figured out what to do to fix it (that is NOT what this post is for), however, now it constantly says Battery Low, and won't allow any flashing to be done. I've had it sitting on the AC adapter for a day straight, still says Battery Low. Then tried connected to the computer/USB, still says is. 3 days straight of (I assume) charging, but still says Battery Low, and won't allow me to fix/restore.

Is it fubar? Is there a trick? The next thing I was going to try, was computer/USB, and having the Droid Razr Utility do the sshd-ish console connection to see if that somehow helps force it to stay on + charge?

At this point I'm basically trying raw troubleshooting tactics with little experience in this field.

I know I searched the forum, but I didn't find anything relevant, but for some reason I Googled again, and THIS came up, from THIS forum!

I will try this. If anyone has additional tips to offer, I'd be welcome :)

I don't know if this would be that helpful but I went to do a fastboot restore when my battery was too low and it failed. I had to plug my phone into the outlet until the screen said that the battery was ok and would flash one part of the fastboot manually and then plug the phone back in to the outlet and wait for it to say it was ok again and repeat with a different part of the file. I don't know if that's what you were looking for but it worked for me.

It sounds like you need to get a factory Cable. It will charge the phone even if its dead

If you have battery low than you see to get a factory-style cable or create one. If you are on Verizon you are using the proper utility. If you are having cellular activation issues than you should try 1.40 without the 1.41 patch.

Just to clarify: I've been using an AC charger, too. Not just a USB cable from a computer.

Factory style USB cable is the way to go. I just got one today that saved my RAZR from soft brick status. Good luck.

Something I haven't been able to find an answer to:
When I do the power + vol up + vol down, there are several options. One of them is called "BF Only". What does that mean?

Problem solved.

Opened the back of the RAZR, wired the + and - terminals to my car (2004 Volks Jetta 1.8T), revved the engine to 4k for about 45 minutes, went to Starbucks, and eventually AP Fastboot reported "Battery OK - Do your thang, dude". So I did. And now I'm happy.
