Haven't noticed this, how heavily are you using it? Is gps or anything else turned on?

Reset gets the same results. Maybe Motorola will do something. Not!!!!!! A lot of heat questions on their website and I didn't see a cure.I'm thinking a factory reset is in order. If that doesn't solve it then you probably have a hardware issue. Time to get a refurb.

You got it in a tight case such as an otterbox?
No case... just shirt pocket... next time I travel I think I am going to change network type from 4gLTE to something else and try that... V wouldn't do anything for me so until it quits working I'm stuck with this one. Have a friend with a RAZR max or something RAZR and she says when she is out running around and reaches in her purse to get it its hot also...
Will we ever know?

Place it in safe mode and keep it on your desk or something at work and see if it heats up. If it does then its probably a hardware issue if not Its a 3rd party app
Its a traveling issue... only gets hot when on the move. Safe mode won't work.

Do you leave gps on by chance? I've had heat issues on multiple phones using gps. One was so bad (lg spectrum) that it would reboot itself every time in SD gps for more than ten minutes.
