i want to see if i have been infected by malware..i recently had alot of trouble out of my previous device (droidx2) i suspect a user mode root kit but honestly i dont know enough to be positive. i have been using a 3rd party app called ghost commander to closely moniter my phone along with a task identifier since they very day of activation. i am once again seeing large amount of data in apps i never use. the 3 rd party app also shows the precess and services of each app. for instance does you really need 47 process running? especially since i have not done anything but create my account and eatch one video that showed me how to take a screen shot? also i thought that "null" meant empty in computer lingo..but right now a task identified as " null" is useing like 50% of my cpu.any help would be appreciated.

you can try using lookout to scan your phone for any known type of infection, I use Onavo to monitor what apps use how much data, it also tells you based off other users whether or not any apps on your device are using more data than the average data the same app uses on other users devices.

The best way to get the exact information on the original system apps would be to find the unbrick tool version of your installed system version (ie the exact installed OS build/version of your phone) and uncompress the file to find the exact files located in /system.

additionally, if you can use ADB to get a directory listing of /system, you can copy and paste that into a document, then factory data reset your phone and use the unbricking tool (droid's fastboot file for your OS version) to restore the phone to factory (this will format the /system partition and replace it with what is in the image you downloaded), then run the same ADB command to get a directory listing and cross check it with the first (very easy to do with linux, windows might take a little more work to get the same result)
