Please help. I recently rooted my Droid Razr Maxx HD phone successfully using the new exploit by Dan. Everything worked fine until I went to install the app "VM Heap" to get better performance. I attempted to reboot the phone after installation like the app suggested, & now my phone stays stuck on the " Droid eye" opening sequence. I'm assuming I will need to wipe the phone & do a factory reset through AP Fastboot, but I cannot find the right utility to acheive this for XT926 Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Someone please advise. Your help is much appreciated.

From a powered off state Can you get to the boot menu? If so this is how to do a reset:
  • Power the device off.
Posted Image Press the Power button then select Power off.
Posted Image If the device doesn't respond to input, press and hold the Volume Up/Down then press and hold Power button. When the device screen goes blank release the Power button while continuing to hold Volume Up/Down, proceed with step 3.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up/Down then press the Power button.
  • When presented with the Boot Mode Selection Menu release all buttons.
  • Press Volume Down to select Recovery then press Volume Up.
  • From the Droid triage screen, simultaneously press Volume Up/Down.
  • Select wipe data /Factory Reset then press the Power button.
Posted Image Use Volume keys to navigate options.
  • Select Yes -- delete all user data then press the Power button.
Posted Image Use Volume keys to navigate options.
Posted Image Data wipe may take several moments.
  • Select reboot system now then press the Power button.
Posted Image Use Volume keys to navigate options.

Boot into Recovery and try the wipe, that often takes care of the bootloop your in.

I have completed the wipe in recovery mode, & rebooted from there as well, but it is still bootlooping. Any other suggestions?

If wiping didnt fix you, then I think it needs a flash

I dont have a 926 so I would look in the 926 area in the forum. There is probably a utility in there.

The SBF files can be found here though:

I have a similar problem. I have a Razr HD (XT926) that got stuck in a bootloop after updating a rom I had been on for a long time. I tried sbf-ing using RSD Lite with several SBF files (4.1.2, 4.1.1, etc.) as well as using the DROID RAZR HD Utility 1.21. I'm able to get into TWRP recovery but everything from my SD card is gone, so I can't restore/flash any rom for it to run so when I power it on it just sticks on the bootanimation....any help, or am I looking at a very expensive paper weight at this point?
