OK, feel like a total noob here.

 

I have razr maxx hd.  Downloaded the ZIP for method one, and a logo.  I used file manager to put logo into the zip in every directory cause I wasn't sure where it should go.  Put on my SD, and flashed it.  Nothing happened really, rebooted, no change.

 

I then unzipped the file on computer, put in the logo file everywhere, then rezipped it / renamed the zip file in the process so I didn't lose track of it.  Put on SD, flashed, got FAILED message.  rebooted, no change.

 

Know what I'm doing wrong?

New to boards.  Made a cowboy bebop bootlogo for my OG Razr.  Thought I would share.... i just don't know how to submit the logo.bin file?  Thanks for all the threads.

I have a boot logo request.  Could you make one of the Gadsden "Don't Tread on Me" flag in the attached link.  I think that would be pretty sweet and quite appropraite message to the phone carriers and manufacturers that didn't want to let us unlock our MAXX HD phones but we still did :-).

To share the logo.bin simply upload it to a service such as dropbox or media fire etc... then post the link to it here.... it will be added to the collection thanx for sharing

Absolutely.... the gadsden flag has always been one of my favorites!!!....

Will get it added soon.... (will try to get to all the other requests as well sometime this week.... I've just been just stupid busy at work)

I'm going to flash a logo too for the first time and was wondering is there a particular spot in the zip file that the logo file should be placed.  This just replaces the static boot image and leaves the animation during boot up untouched, correct?

If you are using the zip method, you simply place the logo.bin in the root of the zip file.... then flash through recovery..... and yes this only changes the static image that shows up before the animation....and leaves the animation untouched

Thanks for the info, hillbilly.  Also looking forward to the Gadsden flag logo.  Are there any methods or threads out there on also changing the animation to something else custom?

There are plenty of ways to change the animation....... I do animations as well.... or you can look up JaeKar99 as well he is "the Jedi Master of animations" IMO

What a sweet collection of boot logos!!   A big "power" thanks to all involved!!  Have a "logo" request!! Would like a dark blue "Scorpion" Red tipped tail, poision drip!! GF has unlocked Razr M "scorpion" board, is a scorpio, dark blue fav color!! Excited to see results!! Razr M is runnin' LS KitKat!!

Like to request this please, for a Razr M if that matters

Ok everyone.... I've finally had some time to finish up some if the requests....YAY!!!!

Added.... Gadsden flag (in its own folder)

Added.... Blue scorpion with red tipped tail(stinger), in "scorpion" folder

Added.... Two Honda logos, in the "Honda" folder

Added.... Darth Vader , in "star wars" folder

Added the stock red M Motorola logos for the HD and the M.... And the OG RAZR , in the "Moto_stock" folder

Can someone help me ? Lol ...I downloaded the flashable zip method with a boot logo ,extracted the zip placed the boot logo in the root of the folder (next to the meta-inf folder ) rezipped it (with estrongs file manager/explorer) flashed it and ....nothing changed ! Lol I know this is user error I just don't know what I'm doing wrong thanks if anyone helps oh yea rooted unlocked XT926 TWRP 2.6.3.0 running 3/3/14 ose 4.4.2 thanks again !

Um ...I'm computer deficient lol is there another way or a app that will do the same ? Is it possible to do with just my phone ? And thank you for your prompt response !

AFAIK no you can't do it via a phone app..... It requires a computer....
