The second alpha release is out and I am running smoothly on a custom size rom 1 slot where I can debloat and tinker with abandon now that I have a working Nandroid backup. The road to custom Rom's is open. Now to motivate the kickass developers to take an interest in this underrated handset

Which Safestrap do I download?

Well I would go for the newest one although I had an issue after installing it where i lost the ability to connect to wifi which I had no problem with on the older version but i am still trying to test this out and see if maybe i did something wrong. I will get back with everyone on this shorlty.

P.S.

Download it for whatever carrier you have.

Also keep in mind (might just be me) that in write protect mode on your boot animation plays a sound and write protect mode  off it doesn't.

The Alpha 1st release has no bugs for me but the 2nd release causes BT/Wifi to fail for me. I am going to stick with the 1st release till Hashcode get those bugs worked out.

P.S. might be a good idea to keep things posted on the OG thread over here instead of in this one.  http://rootzwiki.com...-recovery-v36x/

Wait last thing; What did you do once your WiFi got messed up? Did you do a firmware restore and do everything all over again, or is it simpler than that? Just let me know what you did. Thanks.

nope just simply uninstall SafeStrap recovery and everything should work again. you shouldn't have to uninstall the apk itself.

So to avoid any issues, what version should I install? There are 4 and I really don't want to screw things up

None of the entries are XT1080. Should I still just select the Verizon entry, XT1060?
