@Joeyf  No progress yet. I had to place another phone on the account so that I could have a connection to the world. It is a bad flashback going to a 10 year old clam phone!!! I started a topic on this in the PagePlus section of Howard Forums which is where I read about how to edit the files to get onto PagePlus. At least I know we can go back to where we started, but would like to make this work on 4.4.2

@LarrysAndroid Take Sams advice. Download Towelroot and run it. Takes a few minutes of your time. Then Download latest Motopocalypse and run it. Also only a few minutes. Within 5 to 10 minutes you can have a rooted and boot loader unlocked phone.

Okay. How do I flash a custom recovery after running Motopocalypse? I'm new to this obviously. I missed my chance the first go-round.

Use a program called flashify in the play store.  Download the recovery that's appropriate for your phone, use flashify to flash it.

Ill keep an eye out for that thread over there. As soon as I heard about this new method, I raced to eBay for a spare M to test it and also try GSM unlock...LOL, it shows up with 4.1.1 on it, no need! In a few hours, I was fully unlocked and testing out a new carrier on a blazing fast, debloated ROM. Whole new game :D

Once I flash the Recovery IMG for my phone if I reboot to recovery does it reboot to that or my stock one?

Should I backup recovery through Flashify or my custom recovery?

Once you flash recovery, it overwrites stock recovery with custom recovery.  You can always flash stock recovery from the FXZ whenever you want to restore it.
