OK so I am rooted and have an unlocked bootloader on android 4.4.2. I can't seem to do anything with any recovery that I try to flash. Every time I try to install ROMs or anything for that matter I get installation fails. My recovery, which is twrp 2.7.1.0, does let me backup my current ROM but whenever I try to restore to it it says it failed. Leaving me to factory rest my device every time after I get an installation fail after I try to install a custom ROM, which is cyanogenmod 11. I've honestly never had these problems before on the nexus 7 that I have rooted so I'm not sure what to do. If you have any ideas on what I'm doing wrong, or if you can show me a recovery that works on android 4.4.2 that would also be nice. My device is the Droid RAZR M by the way. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Which CM11 version are you flashing? Try wiping all data (under advanced wipe) except for your external SD and go from there. I had to do that before I could boot a custom ROM, as did some others.
