Giving Back: Thanking HashCode with a Dev Unit

Good day, friends! I hope you are all doing well on this fine day…

I want to call your attention to (or spotlight) a certain developer now. I’m sure you all have probably heard of HashCode…and if not, let’s say, I’m sure you’ve all probably heard of SafeStrap Recovery, which is what enables us all to flash custom roms & mods on our beloved locked up Moto devices…

So….as we all know, Moto has released the Razr HD and the Razr M both in consumer, and Developer Edition models. Any of you who have purchased and rooted either the Razr HD or the Razr M (or both) have surely noticed that Hashcode has been hard at work developing SafeStrap for our flashing pleasure….but what many of you may not know is that while he is developing for both devices…he doesn’t have either of them…and we here at DroidRzr.com would like to change that.

We feel that as a way to say thanks for all he’s done, and still does, for us (for all of us, rom flashers and developers alike, on several different devices) we would like to donate to him a Developer Edition Droid Razr HD. (ok, this is also partially a greedy move for us, as I’m sure that actually having a device in hand would greatly improve his ability to work on it, thus benefiting the entire Razr HD community, haha!)

So….anyway…I have gone to Motorola’s site, and used their calculator to determine what it will ultimately cost us to get this device shipped to HashCode: $655.49

Now, this includes Tax, and they’re offering a shipping discount, shipping is free…so the total amount we need to raise is $655.49...and what we are asking you all is that if possible, please help us achieve this goal…we are not asking you to donate $100 or anything, but honestly, every little bit helps…and trust me, living in Post Hurricane Sandy New Jersey, I know how hard it might be to spare some change, and the holidays are upon us, so believe me- we are not trying to demand or pressure anyone here…but what we do ask is that if you do donate, please post in this thread so that we know to publicly give thanks to you!

Alright guys, we have successfully reached $600... and Hsshcode wishes the donatiom shut down as he wishes to pay the tax on his own...Thanks everyone who helped make this happen, you guys are awesome!!

I might be able to spare a few bucks. Right now trying to get Nitroglycerin33 an M to build Eclipse on. Gimme a week or so and I'll throw some coin in the pot.

Also, I bought my Dev M new in box on ebay, for cheaper than the Moto site. Just an option to save a few dollars.

No problem. While the price is cheaper on Moto's site initially, the taxes eat it up. Not sure what taxes are for you but looks like it's the same as it was for me. Something like $77 or some outrageous price. At that point I went to ebay and found the ones I linked above. I paid for one day shipping ($29) and still came in well under your $655 from Moto. I tried supporting Moto, but as a hard working individual I get taxed enough the way it is, and $77 in taxes was spent elsewhere on an OB Defender and Fosmon screen protectors.

I just realized you're talking about an HD, and not an M. Hmm...will see what I can find on ebay. Sorry about that.

Ebay is definately a nice source for getting some stuff a little cheaper. I do baisically most of my toy shopping on there.

Also without @hashcode and his helpful partner in crime @Dhacker all of are Motorola phones that we have, would not have, AOSP, AOKP, Kexec, Base Builds for are safe side in recovery just to name a few. Mostly, well 98% of, are roms on DR have there work integrated into it. So basically without Hashcode and company we in all reality would not have to much $#!+ to play with on are phones. So even if it is a dollar or 50 cents , every little bit helps. This will not only benefit HD users but all Motorola phone users in some way. Thank you all for donating or just stopping by. Lets get this asap for some AOSP that would be A OK Pretty sweet, lol yea i know that was corny

$20, SS3 is the greatest thing since sliced bread
