No mine is the xt907 (Razr M). Can't believe I grabbed the wrong version:/
Stupid mistake by me. Doh!

FRACK.  :(  Yea, that'll be a permanent brick with no possible way to recover.  The files needed have never been leaked for the xt926 or the xt907.  That really sucks.  :(

There still isn't a release for this on sbf??? Sam you out done them by days!

I have a friend in high places.  LMAO.  SBF will be updated in another few days to few weeks with the official FXZ.  What'll be different is the xml file.  All the partitions will be exactly the same.  The xml file will contain an extra line that erases the userdata.

Maybe if I keep repeating myself every time someone with an unlocked bootloader asks if the latest non-working root exploit will work for them over and over again it'll start to sink in....

UNLOCKED USERS DO NOT USE ROOT EXPLOITS....They install custom recovery and flash supersu zip like big boys and girls.   :)

you will have to repeat yourself more, because you know thats what every community has become....

i have been progressively participating less because of it.

I'm just waiting on someone to ask how to root and/or unlock 183.46.15... Sam will probably go to their house and slash their phone with his katana. Root that!

Just wanted to add my experience with the OTA update... fwiw

I was rooted and unlocked on 183.46.10 (muchas gracias SamuriHL) and still completely stock rom.

I let the OTA update run and it completed without any issue.

I am now rooted and unlocked on 183.46.15 :-)

Your device will boot automatically into fastboot any time you get a failed flash. You either need to flash something successfully (just a boot img works) or use the fastboot command to clear the fastboot mode. Downgrading is possible, but there is some species around doing so due to partition security. There are a couple tools to do this for you. Do some research and you should find your answers pretty quick. sent from my G3

I tried taking the update as well on mine.. unlocked, rooted, stock rom..and it tried pretty hard to install but ultimately failed. I wonder if TWRP is what was messing it up..hmm.

Most updates will not install with TWRP.  It is not advisable.  Some of the smaller minor ones might pass thru, but there is a chance that something doesn't fully update.  If you are rooted and have modified anything that the OTA touches, it will fail.  If an FXZ is available, it is always the sure way to get updated with no fuss.  Just flash as a save data and reflash your custom recovery if you are unlocked, reroot and you are good to go.

Yeah, I will..I was just being lazy and thought I'd give it a shot since the .15 OTA was in fact pretty small and seemed to install for some. Thanks.

I don't have a custom recovery set up, twrp or otherwise.

Still learning how to do that.

I have xt925 4.4.2 180.46.117.xt925.Brasil.en.BR, bootloader locked. There is some way to unlock bootloader without ROOT? Motorola Unlock Tool unlock without ROOT?

Thanks
