Hi. I was able to root, unlock bootlocker and downgrade to JB ver 4.1.2 from KK. Am now running 9.30.1XT926. Phone is showing unlocked and status code 3 in fastboot mode.

Two part question:

Flashify app says "You don't have ROOT/Superuser access on your device."

and

SuperSU app says "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSu cannot install it. This is a problem!"

1) Is there a way to restore full root and install a custom recovery using these apps? If not, what is the process?

2) If I can get Titanium Backup installed and running, can I reinstall apps from my backed up KK with it or would it be best to re-install apps manually?

Sorry, Newbie here with a capital "N!"

As an aside, I am thrilled to be back on JB! BTW, it took 3 attempts to flash JB using RSD Lite and

's script before it worked. Whew!

Edit: I'm trying to donate and the donate button's not working (problem #3!). "Sorry but the Donation Tracker is currently offline. Please check back later."

Do I simply need to check back later?

Can I use the latest TWRP or do I need one specific for JB?

Wow, an old post back to life!

Thanks for the advice. At the time I was doing this, I found an older version of TWRP (2.6.3.0) that seemed to be the go to version on the JB threads. It worked just fine.

Frankly, I undertook this project just to get back to JB. KK was awful with this phone. Nice side benefit is using the apps that can only work on rooted, unlocked phones.

Phone back to being the best. Battery life is once again tremendous. No longer heats up. Signal strength back to lots of bars. Cool, nit-picky features that were eliminated with KK are back along with a few extras thanks to Xposed and Gravity Box. Crapware gone with TiBU. All is well!
