I have a xt926, unlocked, rooted, running KK4.4.2, 183.46.10, (huge thanks to Samuri and everyone else in this forum who has mastered these devices and their innards).  I never tried any video playback or streaming on 4.1.2 which is how the phone came to me brand (a few weeks ago).

My problem is Netflix, no matter what content I watch, has a major A/V sync delay.  I haven't tried any other video playback yet, (MX, Hulu, etc.) because I watch a fair amount of Netflix.

Has anyone else had this problem on the Maxx HD?  I have scoured google and have found no real fix.  It sounds like this is a common problem with 4.4.2

My next step was to update to 183.46.15 and keep root, etc, to see if they fixed something in the update.  Any suggestions?

Thanks EV1

In my experience, video playback (via Netflix) has been better on earlier versions.... But a couple major things will affect your watching videos on Netflix .... Your connection(obviously lol) ... If you are watching in standard definition or high definition..... The phone cache..... The app cache.... And of course the Netflix servers.....

I would clear the app cache and the phone cache first to see if it helps....

Keeping root now your unlocked is no problem.  Just follow the steps to update your 926 to the .15 build and reflash recovery and let recovery re-root your phone.  Sam has it all lined up in a thread. Just search or look for the fxz.

Thanks guys.  Has anyone had better luck with Netflix on the .15 build?

Upgraded to .15 build (again thanks Sam and all for the killer directions) and still no luck with netflix.  Sound is about 1/4 second slow or more maybe.  cleared all caches.  I have an excellent connection.  My old Razr Maxx running 4.1.2 works just fine if I try it.  Any other ideas?

Since you are unlocked... You can try downgrading to a lower android version ....or maybe find an older version of the Netflix app and try it.... Or maybe both :):)

I use several "older versions" of apps mainly because the newer version of said apps simply suck

Thanks for input everyone.  Decided right now I'm just going to accept the fact that Netflix blows.  I can always watch it on my laptop :-D
