Go to THIS thread.  Read it, read it again.  Then follow the directions.  You will need to flash the .10 build prior to unlocking and be VERY SURE to follow the link for the M that Samuri lays out.

Good evening from beautiful (snowless) Tampa, Florida!

I recently acquired a droid razr m with system version 98.18.94.XT907 (bootloader unlockable).  I keep getting a message that a new update is ready to be installed... 182.46.10, as in the topic title.  I am a bit surprised that it's not 182.46.15.  I know .10 is bootloader unlockable.  Still, I'm a little concerned that the update they are calling .10 now will actually be .15 in disguise.  Has anybody recently tried taking this update (.10)?  Obviously if it REALLY is the .10 version, it would be awesome for me!  Right now I prefer jelly bean over kitkat, but would love to have the flexibility to try others when I want to.

There is a catch.  The update fails to install right now anyway.  I don't know what the previous owner may have done, but I'm guessing it may be missing some required bloatware.  A factory data reset did not fix it.  It still fails the install.

Anyway, I guess the first step is to see if anyone knows whether or not 182.46.10.en.US will really be the unlockable version.  Hopefully somebody has recently taken the update and tried it out  ;)

Thanks for listening!

This did work, thanks.  The link for the CWM and TWRP in the guide are broken.  I did search for TWRP and found a few that would supposedly work with the RAZR M, but I couldn't make it work.  The most important thing was to unlock the bootloader so I can stay on JB, which is done now.  I may play around with custom roms at some point.  The next thing on my list is to stop the annoying update available message from verizon.  For that I do remember coming across some helpful searches, so I am marking this topic as solved.  Thanks again!
