Some of what you saw earlier may be due to the theme still being worked on. I did notice some slow loading earlier but that seems better now.

My suggestion to whomever is designing the template is to cut back on over using the opacity property. It might help.

So, how do you make things transparent without using opacity? That's what happens when you set 90% of the page elements with the opacity property -__-. That, and the wall paper takes up a huge hump in the memory believe it or not. Everytime the page scrolls, all browsers (from what I can tell) rerender the page if you have a fixed background image.

I am the one who made the theme, and it is my first. I have zero background in this so bare with me I'm learning.
However, aside from the one or two in this thread, I have not heard any complaints about speed or lack of.

I use chrome and I have no idea why it doesn't like some sites on this machine. I'm currently on windows 8 and it's still laggy
I've tried difference video drivers and even played with gpu acceleration in chrome via about:flags
Might have to switch back to firefox, which I havent used in foreeevveerr.
Edit: I just installed Google Canary (nightly build of chromium I believe) and my lag is gone. Trying to find out the difference in the builds.
