My old maxx HD that was rooted and wifi unlocked got destroyed. So I bought another one on eBay. Apparently hasn't been activated for a while, but seems to be in real nice condition. I fumbled around and got it rooted with Kingroot. Now I would like to unlock wifi tether, but I can't find a sure fire way to do it. It is on system version 183.46.15 and KitKat 4.4.2. What is the best way to from here? I'm not worried about a bunch of customization. Just want to be able to use a few apps and unlock the wifi tether.

I installed Xposed Framework and the Moto Tether module, in order to unlock WiFi tethering.
There are many other Xposed modules available to customise our modify your device, as well, once you install Xposed.
