So when I activate wifi tether.....it also activates Verizon's app which tells me I news to buy a plan. I thought I uninstall ed the app from my stock rom....but it still does it. So then I flashed Eclipse.....and it still does it.

Does anyone know exactly what I need to remove in order for Verizon to leave me alone.

Use sqlite editor and its done forever. Well mine has been and I am currently unrooted. And it still works like a charm.

Here is a video someone made of how to do it.

Not that I know of but some of these more experienced users might know of something. I need to root my Razr again but I have been busy. But I will tell you once you do it that it seems to not go away. I have rsd about 5 times and its still letting me tether for free. :P

If they can they haven't notified me  And my bill is the same. I also have talked to tech support and they never mentioned it. I was having streaming issues and I think it was just my location. So I would say your good to go.

If you keep your data usage under an ungodly amount they wont even notice. They look closely at people who use over 10gb a month.

I have never been throttled or told to slow it down. This is to prove that. I havent used that much since but I just wanted to test the waters.

I still can't get the sqlite editor to load past the database. I have uninstalled that and busybox, reinstalled them both several times and no dice. Any other suggestions on how to get it going?
But wait....if you're here, who's running hell?

I don't know. The SQL hack worked perfectly on my og razr. I tried foxfi but it won't connect to the other device.

The SQL hack always worked fine for me until I installed the 6.14.79 leak. Now when I try to use the stock hotspot app, it says "Checking Provisioning with the Verizon server". Then "Your order could not be processed", and some #'s to call. Is there another setting to change besides the "entitlement check"? Or is this specific to the .79 leak? Cuz I'll just go back to .75 where it worked.

Why not use FoxFi?

The only use I ever had to root a phone prior was for wifi tethering. With that app, I don't even need to root anymore.

Compared to my last few droids, the razr maxx at .181 is faster and more stable than anything I've used prior, so a simple app to let me tether on occasion let's me stay stable till the ICS update releases. Now if they suddenly decide to not release ICS, I've got all new reasons to root and modify...

Foxfi works good on GB, but it doesn't work on the ICS leaks or most custom roms
