I absolutely love this phone...but i don't think i can deal with the earpiece issue anymore. I can't hear crap on it and there's no known, confirmed fix for it. Wearing a Bluetooth around isn't an option as I'm an electrician and i work in too many areas it would get destroyed. I love the battery life, i love the Swype, i love the overall look and feel of the phone, but i think this issue is gonna kill it.

The problem i have is...what phone to go with? I want a comparable phone...but one i can hear on. My wife's iPhone has a great earpiece i can hear fine on...but my phone out-classes it in every other aspect...so...what to do?

What's wrong with the earpiece? Mine is great and I had to turn mine down because it was so loud.

I don't really know man. I posted on here asking for help and most the people said it was just the nature of the beast. Mine is up all the way and i still can just barely hear people...i wish i could fix it...i really really love this phone.

If you are rooted, try downloading pimp my rom from the play store. Under Apps And Mods try installing Sony xLoud. Its supposed to increase in call volume and enhance quality.

I'm not rooted right now, but have been thinking about it...and if there's a sure fire way to fix this issue, I'm in.

Keep your Maxx... If you were to ask me what is the differents between the Maxx & the Maxx HD...Not enough to spend the money for the same results...This Maxx phone is a Clone to the Droid X... What I mean is The Maxx is " Awesome" until I see a New Phone that can blow the Skirt over my Head...I will not Change...Seriously... You're Earpiece is the Issue not the Phone... Its Bubba

It will take longer to think about Rooting your phone than Flashing...but I will not give you the easy Route to Root your Phone...

The hardest thing you will have to do is "READ" about Rooting your Phone...Not being a Wise Guy...If I tell you...You will not understand the process,,,I will give you one Hint...Utilities...

Welcome aboard Stud...You will have wished you were here sooner...Awesome Members here ready to help...I really mean these Guys are Awesome...

Oh by the way...Spend the money for a Awesome Earpiece if your want results with Performance...I do not use one but, Our Members will give you their Honest Opinion with choices...

If you Root your Phone you shouldnt have to Jack up the Volume with Pimp...make sure all your setting are correct in Sounds going into Settings...

Yes, Pimp is a Great App but not necessary once Rooted... Again, Rooting your Phone is Optional but dont get the Hebbe Jebbes thinking you'll screw up your phone...However, READ the Post for Rooting...Its harder to spell Mississippi than Rooting your phone...:)
