Hello, Didnt see a blatant How to for just moving data or anything about merging them for the RAZR M. Loving redundancy ive made one. For moving data atleast.

Updated: Cant move/bind app data (like google music) in the /data with Directory bind. Added a brief how to for those apps as well located at the bottom.

I did NOT make the app, credit to

of XDA.

Make sure unknown sources is checked then

the app.

Install the app then go ahead and open. *NOTE: Must have the app data already on your internal SD*

If you have r00t go ahead and click "on" at the bottom banner. If not idk havnt tried could still manage since internal is mounted r/w anyways.

Now hit menu -> Add new entry

Here you will pick the folder holding the data you want to move.

The top text field is going to be the external SD and the folder your placing your data in my example its (/mnt/external1/nfs13/)

Note:the "data transfer assistant" option will try to use /sdcard/external_sd/ that obviously isnt the external SD use either /mnt/external1/ or /storage/sdcard1/

Also dont use capitol letters or spaces, have had it act up maybe different from your experience

The bottom field is where the data your wanting to move is located, again my example im using need for speed so /sdcard/Android/data/com.ea.games.nfs13_na/

Now that you have both fields (top where you want the data to go, bottom location of the data)

check the box to move the data from target to data

then click add and wait for it to finish moving the files.

you should now be at the apps home, you will now see a box for that bind/linked folder

Click the grey box on the left, should turn green.

If red that means that mounting has failed, make sure the application is off so that nothing is accessing the folder, removing spaces from the folder name could aslo do it.

Now that the icon is green go ahead and test it out. Work? Done.

Another note that could possible help people is that not all data is on the internal SD google music is an example, stored in /data/data/com.google.android.music/files/music/ for apps like these can make symlinks via Rom Tools lite (in market)

download Rom Tools, go to root browser.

Now navigate to your external SD /mnt/external1/ then make a new folder naming it whatever you like

Hold down on the created folder and select "create shortcut"

Now navigate to the folder thats holding the data (in my case music inside /data/data/com.google.android.music/files/music)

Go ahead and paste the shortcut, Can delete the folder, renaming the shortcut the same as the folder you just deleted and have the data re-download.

Or so you dont need to re-download can manually move it to your external SD folder then come back to your shortcut and rename it when your datas done moving.

Have tested with Need for speed, moved 1.85gb.

Works well an could be a great help with saving space for ROM slots or hopefully use external SD data from multiple ROM slots

SD card Class/Speed probably matters havent tried a slower one but would make sense
