I like the look of the regular, non-inverted apps, and most of the ROMs here come with inverted Gapps. So I decided to explore outside DroidRzr and found Liquid Smooth for my RAZR Maxx. I have been running it for a few days now, and I really love it. It is the fastest and most stable ROM I have yet installed on this thing. It is Android 4.2.2 with the new goodies like quick settings and lockscreen widgets. I tried both the ICS kernel and JB kernel versions, and the ICS kernel version is more functional as a daily driver. The JB kernel version does not have a functional camera, and the external SD card doesn't work all the time like it should. Is anyone else here running this ROM? I wish there was a support thread for this ROM here.

If there is no support thread here, it is only because the dev doesn't want to have to manage one :P (can't blame em, can be a lot of extra work answering questions/meeting other people's needs).

Ok thanks, the file size seems pretty small though, are there google apps that have to be flashed with it too do you know?

Gapps dated 2012-12-12 worked for me. The ROM file is just 100 MB or so, but it works fine. Gapps is almost as large as the ROM itself.

Hopefully source is released soon once JB is official as I understand should be able to fix camera at that point.

The camera works with the ICS kernel version. I had it on slot 2 and it worked as well. The JB kernel one only worked on slot 1.

I didn't realize liquid was making a ROM for the RAZR. I knew they were at one point but that seems like such a long time ago.

Yeah, it's solid! Super smooth and fast with a good amount of customization as well!

Get the goomanager app from the play store. Its free & has a search for compatible roms that leads you right to it.

Looks like a new update has just been released on the goo.im site as RC2. Anyone tried this yet? Do we need to wipe data, if going from RC1?

Edit: I installed RC2 on top of RC1 without wiping data. I wiped cache and dalvik before flashing RC2. After flashing RC2, I also flashed the latest gapps (dated Mar 1). It is working great. The only difference I have noticed so far is a new Piecontrols tab in the ROM settings. I haven't figured out how to use it yet.

Edit 2: Pie controls work in this version. There are also a few more customization options than in RC1.

Edit 3: I lost the Update Center feature in system settings that used to check against goo.im for ROM updates. I installed the GooManager app from Play Store, and that seems to work.

I'm new at using Razr Maxx Liquid (RC 2), I'm trying to change the clock/weather icon on the home screen to read Fahrenheit and to make the hard keys on the bottom of the phone stay on longer. I can't find the settings for them. Any suggestions?
This is a great rom, I haven't used Liquid since my D1 days.
Thanks for any help.
