I have a customer laptop who's wireless is down due to firmware needing to be downloaded for Linux. I saw using sqlite editor that the USB entitlement was set to 0. Does this enable USB tethering like the hotspot hack does....if not is there software that will let me do it? Wired tether doesn't work for my Droid razr ATM and network manager isnt seeing my phone using easy tether.

Thanks a million for the advice!

and that fixed the wireless firmware issuse. I also read this over on android forums. I just clicked on USB Tethering in the menu and will see if I get billed or not. I just noticed that the value on entightlement was set to zero on both my non safe, and safe side for USB Tethering so it had me wondering if Verizon lets you hard tether for free or not. This would be nice to find out, as my desktop currently doesn't have wireless, but I'm getting rid of it, and like to clean it up a little, and do some updating before I sell it. I'm on the 4 gig plan so I won't be using it much.
