Hah! I guess I'm not the only one that was thinking of doing this. To me it looks the same the as the Verizon ROM though. What are some of the more major UI differences ? Just icons ?

the most notable difference is the lack of carrier and 3rd party bloat.
it has an fm radio but it doesn't work even with the full system running in safestrap, which leads me to believe it has something to do with the boot image.
guide me (help) and text messaging have different icons, blur file browser is excluded, news & weather app is included.

there doesn't seem to be much interest in this actually, so not sure i'll even release it.

You should release everything man. The more Roms we have the more traffic to the site and of course to your rom threads. Might take a bit but there are a bunch of M users here that I am sure like variety

Is this mean we can replace the stock rom via rsd?

no, you should never flash any fastboot files that are not intended for your specific device, here's why:

all the roms in the rom section are intended to be used with safestrap recovery. safestrap creates secondary system and data partitions on your internal storage so that your primary system and data partitions remain untouched.

Edited topic title to add ROM block. You may want to edit it more and add a name for yoru rom or is DST the name of it??

thanks! yeah dst is the name. dst stands for "development software team". dst builds are generic software that smaller carriers use to flash their own customization packages over, lowering their cost. they have been sought after by moto enthusiasts for their lack of extra crap that name brand carrier builds tend to have.
I realize most people think "daylight savings time" when they see dst, so if you or anyone else has any suggestions for a name, feel free to share :)

i made a minor edit that fixes the startup sequence to include google setup options. tapping on "go to my verizon" during the initial startup sequence is broken because i removed the my verizon app, but you can download it from the market if you want.

hehe, not sure about that. btw, the "33" isn't pseudo leetspeak, it's actually the number 33, just fyi ;)

just added a link to the op for the previous dst toolbox, which is now an add-on for this rom.

i just added a link in the op to the odexed version of this rom. technically it should run more efficiently than the deodexed version. i've been running it all day and it could be my imagination but it does seem to run more smoothly.

So is it possible to change the battery or other status bar icons with this ROM?

It's possible with any ROM. Use ninjamorph from the play store.

mhous33, can you post you boot logo? Now that I am unlocked and I get the ugly bootloader message and would like to go back to your cool M logo.
