- Windows Instructions

  • Extract .zip to its own folder on the Desktop.
  • Install the required drivers. The folder with the drivers is called "Drivers [WINDOWS ONLY]" and is included in the Utility folder.
  • Anything in the folder "MOVE_TO_EXTERNAL_SDCARD" should be moved to the external sd-card. If you do not have one, get one. I mean, one came with your phone...C'mon!
  • Double click the ".bat" file. This will be called "WindowsUtility.bat" the image is just for reference.

- Mac & Linux Instructions

  • Extract the .zip to any folder you like, the /Downloads/ or /Desktop/ folder should work just fine.
  • Anything in the folder "MOVE_TO_EXTERNAL_SDCARD" should be moved to the external sd-card. If you do not have one, get one. I mean, one came with your phone...C'mon!
  • Open a Terminal window. (On Mac: Applications > Utilities > Terminal)
  • Learn your 'sudo' password. This is almost always your Admin password on a Mac computer. On Linux you should already know what this is, its yours account password if your account is an admin as well.
  • Type the following code into the Terminal Windows, places where it says ***DRAG HERE*** are telling you to simply drag the folder there. For example: cd ***DRAG FOLDER HERE*** then press 'Enter' after each line.

  • You will be asked for your sudo password at least once in the Utility process, so make sure you followed the instructions to learn it.

Number 1 Explained -- This option requires your phone be in AP Fastboot mode. It will flash the required files to your phone to fool Motorola Recovery into letting you install the Jellybean Leak again. This will even work if you are on the official Jellybean. Why would you want to go back? To root! This is a worst case scenario tool, we assume the root in the Jellybean leak has been patched in the Official release. We will use this time machine to fix our problem of no root exploit on the Official Jellybean.

Number 2 Explained -- This option requires your phone to be booted normally, with USB Debugging enabled. It is a root exploit by Djrbliss which is used and meant for the Jellybean leak update for the DROID RAZR XT912.

Number 3 Explained -- This option requires your phone to be booted normally, with USB Debugging enabled. It will simply install the 'App' named Project Voodoo's OTA Rootkeeper. To properly use this app before installing the official Jellybean firmware over Ice Cream Sandwich OR the Leaked Jellybean Update:
Open the App. ---> Backup Root ---> Temp Unroot --> Restore Root ---> Temp Unroot ---> Restore Root. ---> Close the App and Install the update.

Number 4 Explained -- This will actually just explain to you how to properly install the official Jellybean update and keep root. It does nothing special, just puts words on the screens so myself and others don't have to answer as many questions!

Remember, do not run this utility unless your phone is at 100% battery OR you have bought yourself one of

Yes I realize the Voodoo install is broken on 1.90. I'm not re-uploading the whole thing :P

You can modify the .bat file in notepad (I suggest Notepad++) and go to line 194 and make this change.

Difference being missing a '-' in wait-for-device.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

EDIT: This is now fixed on the Batakang and on Crackteam hosting sites.

With option 1, does it mean I can Fastboot back to JB leak in case anything not right on the official JB?

During upgrade from "Leak" to "Official" JB, I've lost messaging.odex file from System/App folder, can this be fixed or will I have to use utility to go back and start again??

If someone pulls it for you from the leak it can fix you. Might be faster to use the utility though.

If it says Patch space problem:
Wipe Cache
Reboot
Reinstall
Rinse and Repeat until it works.

Yes, that's where install fails!! When you say "reboot", back to recovery, or AP fastboot and restart utility??

Does this one work for people on .211 that want to return to stock to flash JB?? Or do they need the 1.82??
