OK. thought I read everything but missed the warning on the very bottom about not using the utility unless phone is at 100%....... Mine was at 80%, but I ONLY used it to root and install ota rootkeeper, as I had already upgraded to JB beforehand. Is that ok, or am I going to run into trouble?

You will be ok......:) the reason for 100% battery is because the utility uses AP Fastboot for some of the process..... if your battery croaks while in APFastboot... you will be"dead in the water" so to speak....

Any help would be appreciated.

Was on the Christmas leak, then installed JB official yesterday but lost root. So I ran the 1.9 utility #1 and ended up with an error message:

AP Fastboot Flash Mode (s) (Flash Failure)
...
...

...
etc.

Now need help getting out of this loop
Thanks in advance

Hi, I finished doing the update from the Christmas leak to the recent JB OTA and the phone booted fine, but when it got through the set up, it seemed stuck on a black background with a white box stating "Just a few moments while we prepare this application" or something like that. It didn't seem to allow me to do anything. When I hit the home key, it stated that setup was not completed, was I sure. I said yes and was taking to the home launcher. I believe it may be removing the moto apps and substituting the Google ones...but sheesh it was taking a lonnnnnng time. Am I right?

Would you recommend doing a fresh install of ICS via 1.82 before attempting anything in 1.90?

if you are still on ICS, sure, it cant hurt to use 1.82 to start fresh :)...... of course, if you have taken the Xmas leak, you cannot go back to ICS

I was holding out for OTA and since this last leak is OTA why wait for it to be pushed to me?

My plan:
Charge Pone
Clean ICS via 1.82
Charge
JB via 1.90

Charging at 70% as I type this!

Well some how I got in a screwed up state. I am updated just fine, but I lost my root. I have Voodoo installed. When I first ran it, is said I have SuperSU installed, but the Google Play button was there so I installed regular Superuser, did the backup root steps a few times. Did my update, launched Voodo again, it states:

Superuser app installed: Check
Device rooted: NO
Root permission granted: NO
/System supports root protection: Check
Protected su copy available: Check

When I hit restore root, it came up from SuperSU to grant permission, but now it keeps looping same message over and over that Voodoo OTA given permission, but nothing seems to happen...just keeps saying every 30 seconds that Voodoo was given permission. Anything be done to fix it?

OK fresh clean install of ICS done.

I am about to move files from 1.9 to external card of phone. Do I leave them zipped or extract them to the External SD card?
