I was on the XMas leak with the latest Safestrap. Switched to stock rom. Updated SuperSU. Deleted root backup in Vodoo and re-backed it up. Temp un-rooted and then restored root. Booted in Moto recovery and updated. All is well. Was able to restore root and everything is working on stock rom. No other roms seems to work - which is not a surprise.

I think this is the first report I've seen of *anything* that is different (good or bad) going from the leak to the OTA.
Can anyone else tell me what else (besides the software and the kernel versions) changed from the Leak to the OTA?

All blur/Motorola branded apps were replaced with their Google Aosp counter parts. No Moto bloat in this.

ES File Explorer finds apk in System/apps, installs, then says app not installed?? App not installed.

Further searching reveals I do not have messaging.odex file?? Strange!?!? Can anyone pull this file so I can add??

If es file explorer is showing an apk in system/app, then that app IS already installed. Theres no further installing to do from there.

Have you tried deleting the messaging shortcut and recreating a new one? If not, give it a try.

Oh yeah, messaging is not an available option, it may be "installed", but it's not?? Currently txting through Google Voice, pain in the @#$!! Would rather have stock app working before third party app!!

Is anyone out there having issues with google now? Mine was working fine this morning and then all of a sudden it has stopped. Where my google now widget used to be now just is a 1x4 widget that says "no cards" it is crazy frustrating because I was just having fun with it? Does anyone have suggestions? Or come across this?

Google Now working fine on "Official' JB!! Long press on hard key search button will bring setup!! Short press from then on, working great!!

The deodex zip of the new JB OTA failed to install in slot 1 of SS 3.11. Full wipe and everything. Is it designed for some other use?
